Who builds it

A tow operator who built his own AI operating system

I'm Nick Bradfield. I own Athena Towing in Athens, Georgia, and most days I'm dispatching, driving, or both.

I started building our own systems because the software we could buy didn't fit how a tow company actually runs. Calls rang out when the crew was on a job. Motor-club billing meant hours of retyping every job into portal after portal, and the deadhead miles were worked out by hand, job by job. Payroll ate every Monday.

So I built the fixes, one at a time, and ran them on my own trucks and my own money first. Then I connected them: phones, texts, Towbook, motor-club billing, payroll, the books, the website, and the ads, all in one AI system that does the work and tells me every morning what needs me. It let me let go of my marketing agency, my monthly accountant, my tax advisor, my website and SEO help, QuickBooks, my phone software, and Towbook's premium tier, and it does more than all of them did.

Towing isn't the only thing I run. I own and operate a handful of small businesses here in Athens, and the same AI operating system runs all of them: the books, the phones, the ads, and the morning briefs work the same way no matter what the business sells. That's how I know it isn't a one-shop trick. You can see everything I'm building at bradfieldenterprises.org.

I learned to build with AI because I needed it, not because I sell software. I put hundreds of hours into getting this system right on my own trucks and my own money, and I still use it every day. When something needs fixing at your shop, you work directly with the person who built it.

Deadhead Labs is me helping you build the same thing for your shop, on a server you own. I build it with you, in person if I can, train your team, and hand you the keys. Then you can kick me out, or keep me on to maintain and improve it. Either way, it's yours.
