Straight answersQuestions tow owners ask
What it costs, what it works with, and what happens if you want out. If yours isn't here, ask it on the free call.
What does it cost?
A one-time setup fee, quoted per shop after the free call, plus $80 an hour for build-out, training, and support. Your running costs (server, phone numbers and minutes, AI usage) are billed to you directly by those providers, at cost. At Athena Towing they come to roughly $400–$800 a month. There is no monthly fee to me. See every cost, split out
Does it work with my dispatch software?
Towbook is what runs at Athena Towing today, so it is the fastest build. Omadi, TOPS, Beacon, and other dispatch apps are built to order, around however your software makes the job data available. What connects to Towbook today
Which motor clubs does it work with?
All the major motor-club billing portals. Your clubs are scoped on the free call and built one at a time, tested on your real jobs. How much your billing person reviews before anything is submitted is your rule, per club. How motor-club billing works
Can I start with one piece?
Yes. Where I'd start is motor-club billing: it's the fastest win and the easiest to measure. Phones, payroll, books, and the rest can follow when you're ready. See a typical first build
Do I need to be technical?
No. I build it, connect it, and train your team on the parts they touch: the dispatch channel, the billing review, payroll approval, and the owner's briefs. If you are technical and want to run it yourself, I train you to do that instead.
Will the AI quote the wrong price?
Quotes are calculated in code from your rate sheet and real road distances. The AI only reads the result out, so it can't invent a price. Invoices and payroll wait for a person on your team to review and approve them, and nothing pays money out without you.
Will it replace my dispatcher or my billing person?
No. Your crew still gets first ring, and the AI only answers the calls nobody could get to. Your dispatcher still runs the board, and your billing person still owns the motor-club money. What goes away is the retyping.
Where does my data live?
On your server and in accounts in your company's name: the phone account, the AI accounts, the bank-data connection, and the ad account. You hold every login. Your data, your keys
What is the 30-mile zone?
Your 30-mile zone: I won't sell my system to, or consult with, any other tow company within 30 miles of you for three years, and for as long after that as I'm still doing contracted work for you. The details go in our written agreement. We don't take on towing companies that compete with Athena Towing in the Athens, Georgia market.
What if I want to stop?
You hold every login, so you can revoke my access in one step, and the system keeps running on your server and accounts. There is no minimum term: you pay by the hour only when you use me.
In person or remote?
Best done in person, where we can sit with your dispatcher and your billing person for a day. Remote works too.
