Motor-club billing automation

The billing portals, pre-filled

Motor-club billing is hours of copying the same job from Towbook into portal after portal. The system does the data entry. A person still checks it and has the final say, and the deadhead miles you drove finally get billed.

Every motor club has its own portal and its own rules. Bill only the loaded miles and you've given away the drive back, the deadhead, on every call. And someone has to sit there typing PO numbers, addresses, and mileage into each portal, one job at a time.

At Athena Towing, the system pulls each dispatch, matches it to the job in Towbook, calculates the en-route, loaded, and return-trip miles from the real addresses, checks every charge against that club's rules, and fills in the invoice across all the major motor-club billing portals. Return miles that have to be called in are worked out ahead of the call, and dispatches that arrive by email become Towbook calls on their own. Humans stay in the loop for oversight and exceptions. By my count it cut about 90% of the mind-numbing time we used to spend in billing portals.

Questions

Which motor clubs does it work with?
All the major motor-club billing portals, each to the depth that club's portal allows. Your clubs are scoped on the free call and built one at a time, tested on your real jobs.
Does it submit invoices without anyone looking?
It doesn't have to. The point is that the data entry is already done when your person opens it. How much gets reviewed before submitting is your rule, per club.
What about jobs that don't fit the pattern?
Gone-on-arrival calls and anything unusual are flagged for a person instead of being guessed at. Automation handles the routine; you handle the exceptions.
Does it need my portal logins?
It needs access to fill in invoices on your behalf. The logins live on your server, under your control, and you can change them or revoke my access any time.
Do I still need Towbook?
Yes. It builds on top of your dispatch software rather than replacing it. Because the system handles the reporting and automation, Athena moved from Towbook's $319/mo tier to the $109/mo one.
